"I am passionate about connecting with people and hearing their stories. Everyone has a story to tell, and I want to be there to listen. My hope is that by being present to listen and learn, I can also help people feel seen. "

- CASEY ALEXIS

"I truly believe that all aspects of life are interconnected. If we can provide people with basic resources, it gives them capacity to focus on other aspects of life. If we can make a small difference in the community, it can have ripple effect for positive change."

WHO WE ARE

At Community Table our mission is to provide equitable access to food and resources to those in need in Greater Atlanta/Georgia.

Our model is based on collaboration. Simply put, we work with local partners to distribute food and resources to those in need in Greater Atlanta.

Our partners include food pantries, community kitchens, wholesalers, retailers, restaurants, farmers, individuals, and local businesses. We work with these groups to procure, rescue, and collect food and resources, such as blankets, clothing, and toiletries. Our volunteers then repackage, label, and deliver these goods to those in need.

We utilize local resources whenever possible in order to support local businesses and neighbors to further our vision of a more sustainable and equitable community.

We help feed, clothe, and provide basic necessities for anyone in need, including working families, children, and unhoused community members.

"Humility, compassion, understanding, respect, dignity, and vulnerability.

There is so much I don’t know, and I want to learn about and understand the communities and people we serve. I want to make sure that each person feels respect, dignity, and compassion when we serve them."

               - CASEY ALEXIS

"Openness, learning, non-judgement, kindness, consideration, and accountability.

My goal is to build respectful relationships with those we serve, volunteers, and partners"

ABOUT

CASEY

Founder

After spending nearly 15 years as a single mother and a corporate executive, Casey’s priorities shifted. She quit her job to focus on helping others, driven by her experience with food insecurity while raising her daughter. The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the overwhelming need for food and resources, and so began her quest to end hunger and food insecurity in her community.

CAMILLE

Founder

From a young age, Camille would tag along with her mother when volunteering, from polling places to collecting donations for the food bank. She pursued a career in health and fitness because she loves helping others grow in many different aspects of life. While working in outpatient eating disorder treatment, she encouraged clients that all foods – nutritious and treats – belong in one’s diet. When she began volunteering with food insecurity organizations, she realized that this principle should also apply to socioeconomic status. Finances should not be a barrier to accessing nutritious food and treats alike.
